Building Bridges to God and Helping People Across "It's urgent that you listen carefully to this: Anyone here who believes what I am saying right now and aligns himself with the Father, who has in fact put me in charge, has at this very moment the real, lasting life and is no longer condemned to be an outsider. This person has taken a giant step from the world of the dead to the world of the living. -- John 5:24 (The Message)

MP3 (Right Click & Save As) The Crossover is a partner church in New Life for Haiti. We make a couple of trips to Marfranc, Haiti each year to help the people of the Grande Anse Valley.
As the New Life for Haiti website says, "In 2005, a Christian partnership was formed around a
vision to touch the lives of people in a much neglected part of Haiti
in the "villes" of the Grand 'Anse River Valley south of the city of
Jeremie. This partnership is known as New Life for Haiti.
The
vision of the Partnership is to love the people of Haiti by initiating
several community development projects designed to make life better and
reduce hardship in the mountain villages of Haiti.
In
order to offer the Haitian people something better than a handout, as
much work as possible is done through Haitian churches and schools. The
partnership contributes leadership, money, and people to help with
various projects. The area is in great need of help with schools,
medical training, agriculture, and community and economic development.
New Life for Haiti also assists local churches, and plans on starting
new churches where needed."
We currently have two trips scheduled for 2010.
May 23-30, 2010 (Tues-Tues) -- Randy Myers will lead a trip that will include putting a new tin roof on a remote church building in the village of Chameau. We shot the video below on our last trip. We can take 8 to 10 on this trip. Two or three days will be spent in Chameau so the sleeping arrangements will be a bit primitive. Anyone is welcome on this trip who is willing to help roof a rural church. You do not have to be a part of The Crossover Church.
May 15-22, 2010 (Sat-Sat) -- Brian Miller will lead a survey trip to see the mission and work on some smaller projects.
