What is the Crossover?

The Crossover is a new church (started in February of 2000) in Mattoon, IL.

The Crossover is a bridge between everyday people and God.  It is a place comfortable enough to connect and nurturing enough to grow. Many people feel like church is an event they have to sit through.  We believe that you should never have to sit through a relationship with God.  

The Crossover was started out of a desire to connect with Jesus Christ and to connect with an encouraging community of people and to grow as a person, finding out why God created you and learning how to fulfill your created purpose.

What makes The Crossover Different?

We aren’t promising what God will do, but we are promising not to bore you to death.  We use today’s style of music and video technology to help communicate God’s message.  

We also promise to provide a friendly environment where you can dress casually and feel good about bringing your friends.  We will not beg you for money.  In fact, we won’t even pass an offering plate!  

The messages that you will hear at The Crossover will directly relate to your life.  They will give you practical help for your everyday life.  

Kids are important to us.  If you have children, we will go to every effort to insure their safety, as well as help them to cross over to God.

What is expected of me at The Crossover?

Our goal is to help you ”cross over” into a relationship with God and then help you become who God created you to be!
